Couleur rouge violacée très profonde. Nez friand de petits fruits noirs (myrtilles, cerises noires) bien assemblés aux notes épicées de poivre noir et de boisé, grillé, vanillé. En bouche une attaque franche et veloutée sur le fruit, une belle structure se développe sur le palais pour finir sur une longue persistance fruitée.
